Paul Flynn's
medicinal cannabis bill has now been signed by over
100 MPs of all major parties. The second reading has
been put back several times, with suggestions of organised
filibustering over other bills higher in the ballot
to delay the debate on this subject, now scheduled for

On the other
hand, Flynn is reported as claiming that ministers have
hinted the government may be willing to legalise medicinal
use. Although there are no firm details of what this
would mean in practice, any such legalisation will almost
certainly be confined to licensed medicinal products,
and not include smoked cannabis obtained or grown illegally.
